M.I.C Gadgets reported that their crew received a tip for an iPhone accessories supplier that Foxconn lost an iPhone teardrop design prototype from its factory in Shenzhen.

MiLi announced they will unveil six new products for iPhone 5 accessories and iPad 2 at China Sourcing Fair. With their already extensive list of battery accessories for mobile devices these specific products are targeted towards the new iPhone and iPad 2.

These new products will range from full extended battery iPhone 5 accessories which has put MiLi the leader of external battery accessories for all mobile devices.

Analyst Brian Blair reports Apple only releasing iPhone 4S dumping rumors that both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S would be unveiled simultaneously
“We expect the focus of the new iPhone will be iOS 5, a speedier A5 processor and a higher resolution 8 MP camera with a small possibility of a larger 4 inch screen,” Blair wrote. “We believe the casing will be largely similar to the iPhone with some particular modifications to the antennae [sic]. We don’t expect a second, dramatically different iPhone to accompany this as we don’t think Apple needs to have 3 models in the market to address the high end, mid-tier and low end since the iPhone 4 (with memory lowered to 8 GB) will drop to $99 and effectively attack those markets.”
Now don’t count on this just yet Apple is well known for surprises, stay tuned.

An announcement in Apple’s developer site was posted for both iOS and Mac developers:
“On Thursday, September 22, the iCloud Backup data will be reset. Backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup will be unavailable from 9 AM PDT – 5 PM PDT. If you attempt a backup or restore during this time, you will receive an alert that the backup or restore was not successful. After this reset, you will be unable to restore from any backup created prior to September 22. A full backup will happen automatically the next time your device backs up to iCloud.”
This update could be directly related to Apples iPhone to prepare the iCloud for the large amount of traffic once it releases

It appears that the tear-drop shaped iPhone 5 with larger screen and thinner, rounder body is seeing continued design and production delays, at least on one assembly line (Apple has multiple production sources – Pegatron, Foxconn, etc). We therefore think that iPhone 5 will be delayed slightly at the very least and may see shortages all the way into 2012.
Apple is expected to announce its next iPhone by the end of September or early October, stay tuned.
